VIEIRA BACKS ZLATAN MOVE

The former French midfielder and football development executive of Manchester City, Patrick Vieira, has said that the manager of Paris Saint-Germain did a great job by buying Zlatan Ibrahimovic during the pre season transfer window.

Ibrahimovic joined PSG in July this year after leaving AC Mian. This decision of Ibrahimovic was a bit surprising as he had joined AC Milan just a year ago. PSG had to pay a big transfer fee of 20 million Pounds for buying Ibrahimovic.

The Swedish striker has proved to be a great buy for the club and has been performing brilliantly in the French Ligue 1. He has featured for PSG in 11 matches so far and has found the net on 12 occasions.

When asked about the performance of Ibrahimovic in the ongoing season so far, Vieira said, “Ibrahimovic has been a revelation for PSG. What a fantastic buy he has proved to be. Just look at his record. 12 goals in 11 matches is not a joke. He has been fantastic in every match that he has played. He is in the form of his life and if he manages to continue his form till the end of the season, PSG has a very good chance of winning the Ligue 1.”

Vieira also said that Ibrahimovic is not an egoistic guy as the media says. When asked about the approach of Ibrahimovic on and off the field, Vieira said, “On the field, he looks aggressive because he wants to contribute for his team in each and every match. But, he is a completely different person off the field. He is a very soft spoken and friendly guy.”

“Ibrahimovic is a fierce competitor and a true match winner. The manager of PSG has done a great job by signing him.”
