Pirlo: Bring Balotelli to Juventus

They were two of the key performers for Italy at Euro 2012 and it appears as though Andrea Pirlo wants Mario Balotelli to join him back in Italy. Pirlo says that he knows how to communicate with the City forward and it would be fantastic if he could make the switch to Juventus this summer.

Despite experiencing a hugely successful tournament with Italy, there have been doubts over Balotelli’s future at the Etihad Stadium for some time. The 21-year-old has been at the centre of various disciplinary problems and even though Roberto Mancini has recently confirmed that he wants the ex-Inter Milan forward to remain at the club, it’s understood he would still listen to serious offers.

The prospect of Balotelli switching clubs certainly appears to Italian magician Andrea Pirlo, who claims that he has never experienced problems working with the youngster and would be delighted to see him move to Juventus. Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Pirlo said, “Would I take Balotelli to Juventus? Of course I would take him. And I know how to talk to him. We both come from Brescia and when we are in the national team we speak in dialect. There was no problem with managing him in our dressing room, indeed he was very well behaved. I’d gladly take him in Turin. Mario is a guy who needs you to stay close to him.”

Despite the speculation that is bound to follow Balotelli after such a promising tournament, the odds of him leaving City are still very low. While they have had their disagreements over the campaign, Mancini knows what an integral player Balotelli is to his team and that he has the potential to only improve. Moreover, with Balotelli’s agent stating that his client is worth at least £200m, it would take a disgustingly rich club to take him on.
