Manchester City can move 14 points clear of Manchester United if they beat Southampton at home on Wednesday night. On their part, Southampton ended a run of nine games without a win with the 2-0 away win over bottom team Sheffield United and they will have their work cut out when they travel to Manchester to face a wounded Manchester City team.
