PSG and Manchester City have been drawn together in the Champions League semi-finals with the winner billed to meet the winner of the other semi-final tie between Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Manchester City were able to secure a 2-1 win over home team PSG at the end of their first leg encounter despite conceding the first goal of the game. PSG have themselves to blame for failing tobuild on their fast start.

PSG took the lead on 15 minutes through Brazilian international Marquinhos off a corner kick and the French champions could have scored more but for average finishing plus good goalkeeping from Manchester City shot stopper EdersonMoraes.

Manchester City were second best in the first half and they were fortunate to go into the break with a one-goal lead. The imminent Premier League champions were much better in the second half but still needed some form of help from PSG goalie KeylorNavasto get back into the game.

Costa Rica international Navas was at fault for the first of the two goals scored by Manchester City within seven second half minutes. Navasfailed to deal with a Kevin De Bruyne cross that found its way to the back of the net on 64 minutes.

That equaliser gave the visitors the impetus to get a second goal andthey did just that through a RiyadMahrezfreekick. The goal from Mahrezgave City a precious lead to take back to the Etihad Stadium for the second leg next week Tuesday.
