After 9 months in England, Guardiola talks about how it has been

It has been a little over 9 months since Pep Guardiola took charge of Manchester City as the head coach and so far things have been going fairly impressively for the Spanish coach after having gone through a string of 6 successive Premier League victories but Pep Guardiola and his squad have started to drop points after drawing with Everton, Southampton and with Middlesbrough.

Pep Guardiola recently revealed how things have been going for him in the Premier League as he had never before taken up a managerial position in the top tier English League until he accepted the coaching role in Manchester City.

“The games are always open here because opponents put long balls. All the strikers are tall, second balls, free-kicks, throw-ins: they are playing for that,”

“They are playing to look for that situation. In 90 minutes you always miss something, you make a minimum mistake and they are clinical there.I remember the first game. Sunderland didn’t arrive in the first action and then the goal from Jermain Defoe. They are good and that is a talent. They arrive but I think when you have more chances and concede fewer you have more opportunities to win the game and that is my point of view.” Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola said as he spoke about the Premier League.

After 11 Premier League matches, Manchester City are sitting at the 3rd spot with 24 points. This season of the top tier English League was expected to be one of the most difficult and exciting ones in recent times and this was mostly due to the highly rated managers that were appointed to top clubs such as: Manchester United with Jose Mourinho, Chelsea with Antonio Conte, Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp and Manchester City with Pep Guardiola.

So far, the English league has not disappointed with almost all of the top clubs that were expected to make a genuine charge are still in the top spots competing for the coveted league title and the season has only just started.
